Rep. Schiff Statement on the Passing of Richard Bates
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Rep. Schiff (D-Burbank) issued the following statement:
"I am devastated to learn of the sudden passing of my friend, Richard Bates. I got to know Richard during his years representing Disney where he was an executive for 30 years. Richard was larger than life — a wonderful personality, witty, generous, and absolutely brilliant. I will miss being on the receiving end of a call from Richard, our dinners out with friends, and our outings to movies or Red Sox games. My deepest condolences to his wife, Rose, his two sons, and his entire family."
